Headspace: The work of Mayson Stowers

“I have something to say, but I am not sure how to say it... when colors collide, could you see my state of mind? Could a connection be created between you and I?”

In the exhibition Headspace, artist Mayson Stowers invites the viewers to peak inside her mind through art. Her work centers on symbolic self-portraiture and self-reflection, as she uses vibrant colors, intricate concepts, and fantastical symbolism blended with realistic representations to reveal her own thoughts. She uses art to visually represent parts of her own mindscape in hopes of encouraging others through her visual explanations of complex feelings and mental states.
